Environmental conditions
Salinity, Temperature and Oxygen are environmental conditions/variables that are very important for the presence of species in a certain locality. Every species was selected by a particular combination of these three and other variables, which are defined as species niche. In the Caspian Sea, the three variables mapped are very important, because they often varied during historical time and they shaped the local biodiversity of the different habitat of the Caspian Sea.
